ScienceVT: on Target to help Deaf Children
As part of the St. Edmund's day celebrations on Friday 19th November 2004, ScienceVT will be holding a sponsored Target competition to raise money to support deaf and hard-of-hearing children. In the Target competition, the members of ScienceVT will be challenged to design a paper aeroplane that can accurately hit a target from a distance of 10 metres. Points will be awarded based on the accuracy of each throw. Design brief Design and build a paper aeroplane that can fly a distance of approximately 10 metres, and land within a target area 2 metres by 2 metres square. Sponsorship Ask your friends, teachers and parents to sponsor you. Ask your parents to take a sponsor form to work and find some more sponsors from there. Let's try to raise as much money as possible to support deaf and hard-of-hearing children. Prizes Two prizes will be awarded: One prize for the best performance amongst Year 8 and 9 pupils, and one for the best performance amongst Year 10 and 11 pupils. |
